We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Storage Administrator to manage and support our enterprise storage infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and data protection across mission-critical financial systems. This role will focus on Pure Storage, NetApp SAN, and Rubrik backup and recovery solutions.
This is a remote position based in India, supporting a U.S.-based financial organization with a high-performance and secure IT environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with deep technical expertise in enterprise storage systems and backup technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and administer enterprise storage systems including:
Pure Storage FlashArray and FlashBlade
NetApp SAN and NAS environments
Rubrik Data Management platform for backup and recovery
Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and capacity of storage infrastructure.
Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, patching, and firmware updates.
Implement and maintain data replication, snapshot, and data protection policies.
Ensure efficient backup and recovery operations using Rubrik, including regular testing and validation.
Manage storage provisioning and allocation for application, database, and virtualization teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance or availability issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Automate storage tasks and reporting using CLI, PowerShell, or scripting tools.
Participate in on-call support rotation and respond to storage-related incidents.
Maintain compliance with data retention, audit, and security standards.
Required Qualifications
6+ years of experience in enterprise-level storage administration.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Pure Storage (FlashArray, FlashBlade)
NetApp ONTAP, SAN/NAS provisioning, SnapMirror/SnapVault
Rubrik backup and recovery solutions (Cloud Data Management)
Knowledge of storage networking (FC, iSCSI), Zoning, and LUN management.
Familiarity with VMware integration with storage and backup systems.
Proficient in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
Solid understanding of ITIL processes, incident, change, and problem management.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as:
Pure Storage Certified Architect (PSCA)
NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)
Rubrik Certified Professional (RCP)
Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
Exposure to cloud-based storage and backup integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
Work Environment
Fully remote role (India-based)
Must be available during U.S. business hours (EST/PST)
Participation in on-call rotation as required
