We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Storage Administrator to manage and support our enterprise storage infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and data protection across mission-critical financial systems. This role will focus on Pure Storage, NetApp SAN, and Rubrik backup and recovery solutions.

This is a remote position based in India, supporting a U.S.-based financial organization with a high-performance and secure IT environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with deep technical expertise in enterprise storage systems and backup technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer enterprise storage systems including:

    • Pure Storage FlashArray and FlashBlade

    • NetApp SAN and NAS environments

    • Rubrik Data Management platform for backup and recovery

  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and capacity of storage infrastructure.

  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, patching, and firmware updates.

  • Implement and maintain data replication, snapshot, and data protection policies.

  • Ensure efficient backup and recovery operations using Rubrik, including regular testing and validation.

  • Manage storage provisioning and allocation for application, database, and virtualization teams.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance or availability issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Automate storage tasks and reporting using CLI, PowerShell, or scripting tools.

  • Participate in on-call support rotation and respond to storage-related incidents.

  • Maintain compliance with data retention, audit, and security standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in enterprise-level storage administration.

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

    • Pure Storage (FlashArray, FlashBlade)

    • NetApp ONTAP, SAN/NAS provisioning, SnapMirror/SnapVault

    • Rubrik backup and recovery solutions (Cloud Data Management)

  • Knowledge of storage networking (FC, iSCSI), Zoning, and LUN management.

  • Familiarity with VMware integration with storage and backup systems.

  • Proficient in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.

  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).

  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes, incident, change, and problem management.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as:

    • Pure Storage Certified Architect (PSCA)

    • NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)

    • Rubrik Certified Professional (RCP)

  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.

  • Exposure to cloud-based storage and backup integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).

Work Environment

  • Fully remote role (India-based)

  • Must be available during U.S. business hours (EST/PST)

  • Participation in on-call rotation as required
