We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Azure Cloud Administrator to support and manage cloud infrastructure for a U.S.-based financial services company. You will be responsible for the daily operations, monitoring, and optimization of Azure-based workloads, ensuring security, availability, and performance in a regulated enterprise environment.
This is a remote position based in India, requiring collaboration with global teams and availability during U.S. business hours. Ideal candidates should have experience in Azure platform administration, automation, and a good understanding of cloud security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure including:
Virtual Machines (VMs)
Azure Active Directory (AAD)
Resource Groups, Virtual Networks, Subnets
Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
Deploy, configure, and monitor cloud services using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
Manage Azure Backup, Site Recovery, Key Vault, and Azure Security Center.
Implement and maintain identity and access controls, conditional access, and RBAC policies.
Monitor system performance, availability, and respond to alerts/incidents.
Apply patches, perform system updates, and follow change management processes.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance, data protection, and threat detection.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
Maintain documentation and operational runbooks for cloud systems.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide L2/L3 support for Azure-related issues.
Required Qualifications
4–6 years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Administration.
Solid understanding of:
Azure IaaS (VMs, VNETs, NSGs)
Azure AD and hybrid identity (Azure AD Connect)
Azure Monitor, Alerts, and Automation
Azure storage, backup, and disaster recovery services
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, Azure CLI, or similar tools.
Familiarity with cloud security best practices and cost management.
Experience in enterprise environments, preferably with high availability and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Comfortable working independently in a remote, global team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certifications:
Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) (a plus)
Experience in financial services or regulated industries
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Exposure to hybrid cloud setups and on-prem to Azure migrations
Work Environment
Fully remote role based in India
Must be available during U.S. business hours (EST/PST)
Participation in on-call rotation required
