We are looking for a skilled and motivated AWS Cloud Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team, supporting critical cloud operations for a U.S.-based financial services organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing AWS environments, ensuring system uptime, performance, cost efficiency, and security in a high-availability, compliance-driven setting.
This is a remote position based in India, requiring close collaboration with U.S. teams and availability during U.S. business hours. The role offers growth opportunities in cloud automation, DevOps, and financial technology.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy, manage, and monitor infrastructure in AWS across development, staging, and production environments.
Administer core AWS services including:
EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, SSM
Perform routine maintenance and ensure patching, backup, and disaster recovery procedures are in place.
Manage and optimize AWS costs, resource utilization, and performance.
Monitor system health using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools.
Create and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CLI.
Manage IAM roles, policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and access controls.
Collaborate with developers, security, and infrastructure teams on deployment, incident response, and compliance requirements.
Document cloud environments, changes, and operational procedures.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours incident support.
Required Qualifications
4–6 years of experience in cloud/system administration with a strong focus on AWS.
Proficient in managing:
EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, VPCs, ALBs/NLBs
Good understanding of networking, security groups, NACLs, VPNs, and DNS (Route 53).
Hands-on experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, AWS CLI).
Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and incident response in cloud environments.
Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certifications:
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (a plus)
Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and containerization (ECS, EKS, Docker).
Experience in financial services or other regulated environments.
