We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Microsoft Active Directory Administrator to join our global IT infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our Active Directory (AD) and related identity infrastructure for a U.S.-based financial services organization.
This is a remote position based in India. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and Azure AD, and will be comfortable working in a regulated enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory in a multi-domain, multi-site enterprise environment.
Manage and troubleshoot Group Policies (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and OU structures.
Maintain and optimize user, group, and computer accounts, including scripting automation for common administrative tasks.
Support and manage Azure Active Directory, hybrid identity, and synchronization with Azure AD Connect.
Implement and manage role-based access control (RBAC), delegated permissions, and organizational security policies.
Monitor domain controllers for performance, replication, and security issues.
Perform routine Active Directory health checks, audits, and backup/restore procedures.
Collaborate with internal IT, security, and compliance teams to meet business and regulatory requirements.
Provide tier 2/3 support for identity-related issues and service requests.
Document configurations, procedures, and architecture diagrams.
Required Qualifications
4–6 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Active Directory administration.
Strong understanding of domain services, LDAP, Kerberos, FSMO roles, and AD replication.
Proficiency in Group Policy creation and management, DNS, and DHCP.
Experience with Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, and hybrid identity management.
Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting for AD automation and reporting.
Understanding of NTFS permissions, access control, and security best practices.
Experience in managing multi-forest or multi-domain environments is a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and during U.S. business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft certifications such as:
Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
Familiarity with identity governance, SSO, and MFA solutions (e.g., Okta, Azure MFA).
Knowledge of integration with M365 and security/compliance tools.
